Ghana international Jordan Ayew has asked for the support of Aston Villa fans as the Premier League club continues to struggle in the 2015/2016 season.
Aston Villa has won just a single game out of the 14 league games this season, a poor run of form that has seen them change their manager from former Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood to Remi Garde.
Jordan and his side lie rock bottom on the English Premier League log and despite scoring in his last appearance, the Black Stars forward could only watch on as his Aston Villa team were handed a 3-2 home defeat by Watford.
The former Olympique Marseille and FC Lorient striker has pleaded with the claret and blue fans to stick by them as they try to find their way out of the relegation zone.
Jordan Ayew said:
‘My message to the fans is to continue supporting us because we need you. We really need you.
‘I still believe that we can stay in the Premier League. They need to keep supporting us and I promise them things will change. Everyone is focussed, everyone is giving 100%.’
Jordan Ayew joined Aston Villa in the summer from French Ligue 1 club FC Lorient. The player has scored three goals for Remi Garde’s side with all goals coming in the English Premier League.
