Defeated Member of Parliament for Ashaiman, Alfred Kwame Agbesi says he is returning to his chambers to practice law full time when he leaves the House in 2017.

Mr Agbesi, who is also Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament, was one of the big names who fell in the just ended NDC primaries, losing by a wide margin to 35-year-old Ernest Norgbey.

Alfred Agbesi, who was seeking a fourth term bid in Parliament, only managed to poll 1,745 votes, with the winner, Ernest Norgbey polling a whopping 5, 171 votes.

Speaking with Adom News, Mr. Agbesi noted that regardless of his loss, he will work hard for an NDC victory in 2016.

“I feel alright because I’m not bound to be in Parliament forever. The electorates have spoken, and that is what we need to go according to.

“There is nothing I can do now. I just have to prepare my chambers and go back to my law firm to continue working for the party” he said.
