Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Vincent Oppong Asamoah has revealed that the government has still not paid the Black Stars winning bonus, allowance and per diem for the Mauritius game.

There was lot of speculation that the government has fulfilled its obligation but speaking to Asempa Sports Nite , Vincent Oppong Asamoah said the government is on the verge of paying the money.

“I am sure the Black Stars winning bonus and allowance will be paid into the account of the players after they play their next qualify game,” he said.

The Black Stars side beat the Mauritius side 7-1 in an Africa Cup qualifier in Accra in June.

He also talked about the preparation of Team Ghana ahead of the upcoming 2015 All Africa Games which will take place in Congo Brazzaville.

“The preparation of Team Ghana is ongoing, I see a lot of improvement and seriousness in the team now. I think Team Ghana is going to perform well and win more medals for Ghana and for themselves as well”.

The Minister further denied rumors that President Mahama has instructed the Finance Minister to release the $4 million budgets for the games to National Sports Authority.
