Berekum Chelsea have virtually reduced the league title pursuit into a two-horse race with pressure mounted on Ashgold who embark on a difficult battle on Sunday against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Chelsea have whittled down Ashgold’s 10-point lead to two and are breathing heavily on the neck of the table toppers hoping for a slip, perhaps, against the Porcupine Warriors to pave way for their title ambitions.

On Sunday, Kotoko would be chasing for their first victory in their last three games, while Ashgold have also not won in their last two games.

However, the contrasting fortunes of the two sides seem to give the Obuasi side the upper hand.

Nonetheless, the Porcupine Warriors, who are returning into this game after they were bruised by WAFA in their mid-week game at Sogakope, remain certain they can wrestle the three points from the ‘Soccer Miners’ to bring back the smile on the faces of their teeming fans.

In other matches, Accra Great Olympics will hope to replicate their 2-1 victory over Bechem United when they host Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium, while Liberty Professionals look set to take on fourth-placed WAFA at the Carl Reindorf Park at Dansoman.

Accra Hearts of Oak will be eager to add New Edubiase United to their latest casualties when they play at the Len Clay Stadium, and at the Kpando park, Heart of Lions will hope to come out of their misery with a victory over Wa All Stars.

Aduana Stars have the advantage hostong Inter Allies at the Agyemang Badu park at Dormaa-Ahenkro, while bottom-rooted BA United will trek to the Sekondi Stadium at Essipon to play eighth-placed Hasaacas.
