RCC denies plan to transfer headmistress

Koforidua, July 23, GNA – The Eastern Regional Coordinating Council (ERCC), has denied media reports about plans to transfer the Headmistress of Kukurantumi Presbyterian School, who appealed for chalk from the Second Lady of the Country, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur.

The ERCC condemned the story and urged the public to ignore it.

In a release, signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Council, Mr Prosper Fetor-Tsormana the ERCC described the publication as ‘cooked publication which lacks credibility’ and a calculated attempt to damage the image of the staff of the ERCC.

About two weeks ago, the second Lady, Mrs Amissah-Aurther donated some computers to the school and in response the headmistress requested for chalks and teachers’ notebooks.

The response of the Second Lady generated a lot of media comments.

A media report claimed that the ERCC has plans to transfer the headmistress because she is a sympathiser of the New Patriotic Party.
