It was a great day of joy and blissful activities when the 2007 year batch of past students from St. Augustine College and Holy Child Secondary School collaborated with the Quik Medical Consult to visit orphans and underprivileged children at the Christ Faith Foster Home in Frafraha located in the outskirt of Adenta.
Jacob Nii Ofei Dodoo, the president of the St. Augustine team, stated the motivation was birthed out of passion to give back to th society. And upon good remarks from the works of the home they chose them as part of their benevolent contribution to the welfare of the less privileged especially orphans.
With items worth GH¢2500, ranging from consumables and wearables, the old students also made a cash donation of GH¢1600, Kofi Mensah, co-founder of Quik Medical Consult revealed.
Receiving the items and cash on behalf of the children and the home, Henrietta Sara Agyeman, Supervisor of the home expressed gratefulness towards the kind gesture from all sides for the love they’ve shown towards the children and prayed God multiplies all their spending.
Mawuena Akosua Kukah the head of the 2007 Holy Child Past Students Association shared this gesture is among several projects that her colleagues have planned to do this year and promised future collaboration with their male counterparts.
All the children and staff were screened of Malaria whiles they received free consultations from the doctors and nurses from the Quik Medical Consult.
After a health education on Cholera, the past students and the Quik Medical Consult team engaged in activities with the children during the mentorship session. Other activities included Chair Dancing and Football games coupled with dancing competitions.
