Kennedy Agyapong has promised Kumasi Asante Kotoko a whopping amount of Gh¢ 100, 000 to boost the morale of the team prior to their big clash against West African Football Academy (WAFA) on Wednesday.

Asante kotoko have been experiencing poor run of results in the ongoing First Capital plus Premier League and their plight was worsened by Berekum Chelsea who whipped them 3-0 at their own backyard to push them down to the 11th position on the 16-club league.

Kennedy Agyapong, popularly called Kenpong in football cycles believes the spirit of the team is down, hence the need to revive it by motivating the playing body.

According to Alhaji Ali Maradona, the deputy operations manager of Kotoko, Kenpong has already handed over the said amount to Amos Frimpong, the skipper of the club and has even promised them another Gh¢ 100,000 against Ashgold.

“Kennedy Agyapong has promised the playing body Gh¢ 100,000, if they manage a win over WAFA at Sogakope.

“The money has already been given to Amos Frimpong and he told them that an additional Gh¢ 100,000 would come should they beat Ashgold on Sunday. I have realized that some people love Kotoko too much,” he told Allsports.com.gh.
