Renowned football statistics outlet WhoScored.com have confirmed Ghana defender Abdul Baba Rahman made more tackles than any player in the German Bundesliga last season.
The 21-year-old impressively made 109 tackles while in action for Augsburg in the Bundesliga last season as he completed 29 games out of 31 league appearances.
Rahman performance drew praises from players and managers alike as he wowed the Bundesliga followers with his crucial surging runs and extraordinary defensive skills.
Bayern Munich and former Real Madrid midfielder Xavi Alonso singled out the player for praise after he shone against the Bavarians in a league game.
His performance has attracted big interest from English Premier League title-holders Chelsea as well as Scudetto winners Juventus. The European giants are battling for his nature.
Though there are interests for his services, Baba has joined Augsburg for their pre-season campaign and played in the Telekom Cup where Augsburg finished second.
He won the most valuable player award when he helped Augsburg beat Bayern Munich last week.
