Kumasi-based actor and musician Kwaku Manu has said his ‘Kwaku Manu International school’ is to help sharpen his students and to make use of their dreams and talents.

In an interview with the Actor on Pluzz FM’s morning show AM Pluzz with Sammy Flex, he established that, his purpose of building the school is because he sees education as the key and he will be fulfilled giving back to society in a way that will help children who are underprivileged.

“Looking at the world at large, everybody was born with special a gift but it`s only in Ghana that when you bring your gift, people will try as much as possible to divert your dream.

The white man will do everything to support his child with gift and also make sure he gets the necessary education. If I didn’t get that much education, it does not mean I don’t see the essence of education, many think comedian actors are foolish but it`s never that way, but the joy of making others happy” he said

The founder of Kwaku Manu International school said the school which has been in existence for the past two years is due to the love and support he gets from friends and loved ones with special regards to some Blacks Stars players who did a video advertising the school.

He is much grateful to them because he can`t afford to pay each player for an advert.

He also made known that even though his school is one of the best schools in Kumasi, he does not charge that much for fees just to enable parents to enroll their wards. The school currently has 150 children from crèche to primary three.

Kwaku Manu who is now a radio presenter on ‘Bohye FM’ mentioned that when he started the school, he used his own money for funding and paying staff, he also hinted that he will soon own his radio station.
