Eschew Political Differences—2nd Lady Advises


The Chiefs, elders and opinion leaders of Kukurantumi, have been challenged to do away with political differences and concentrate on mobilizing the people to upgrade their CHPS compound to an appreciable level.

Wife of the Vice President, Mrs Matilda Amissah-Arthur threw the challenge when she presented health equipment to the facility at Kukurantumi in the East Akyem Municipality of the Eastern Region.

She observed that the location of the CHPS compound was not the best and urged the people to relocate it as a matter of urgency.

Mrs. Amissah-Arthur stated that the Assembly has a role to play to ensure that a Health Centre is built by making the first move before the interventionof the central government.

The donation, according to the 2nd lady followed a request made to her office.

She, therefore, implored churches and other groups in the town to contribute towards the upgrade of the CHPS compound.

She also donated undisclosed amount of monies towards the elevation of the Kukurantumi Health Centre.

On his part, the Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Boasiako Sekyere, promised to ensure that the CHPS facility is upgraded to a Health Centre.

The Chief of Kukurantumi, Nana Ampaw praised Mrs. Amissah- Arthur for her kind gesture and promised that the donations made will use for its intended purpose.

Meanwhile, Mrs Amissah-Arthur also presented five computers and books to the Presbyterian Primary School and the Community Library also at Kukurantumi.
