Organisers of the annual Kumawood Akoben Film Festival and Awards (KAAF), Kumawood Multimedia, have called for entries for this year’s event, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 16.

The call for entries, according to Mr Samuel Darko, Chief Executive Officer of Kumawood Multimedia, is to give interested persons the opportunity to submit their works.

In a statement, the organisers said, “the Public and stakeholders who want to be nominated in any of the competitive categories of this prestigious awards scheme are advised to do so by filling a form at the Kumawood Multimedia office at Patasi”.

In its fifth year, KAAF has awarded major players, particularly actors and actresses for their contribution to the growth of the Akan speaking film industry.

In the past, stakeholders in the Kumawood industry had expressed their sentiments about how their works were not duly recognised and as such, KAAF was introduced to honour them.

Popular names such as Agya Koo, Nana Ama McBrown,Emelia Brobbey and Kojo Nkansah (Lil Win) have received awards over the years.

Last year, Emelia Brobbey won the Most Favourite Actress award.
