This week’s Autograph will feature Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kofi Sarpong, a celebrated gospel artiste.

Born into a family of Presbyterians, he started singing in the choir at the age of 12 in Berekum. He joined the Police Service 13 years ago.

He disclosed on the show as a young boy he had to sell kenkey while in Secondary School (now SHS) to raise funds to pay his fees.

His mates who met him usually mocked him, yet he never gave up.

He revealed that it was a performance by Tagoe Sisters in his hometown during a crusade that marked his calling into gospel music.

It has always been his dream to promote the teachings of Christ through music.

According to him, it was his duty to compose music that would educate, entertain and encourage everybody, including the downhearted.

DSP is married to Mrs. Salomey Sarpong, and they have three lovely kids together.
