AshantiGold SC coach Bashir Hayford says he is willing to sign a new contract with the Obuasi-based club if offered a new deal.

The former Black Princesses coach, who joined the Miners in 2013, has managed to guide the team to top of the Ghana Premier League table after 21 match days with a seven-point lead.

Under the tutelage of Hayford, Ashgold boast of 12 wins, 4 draws and 5 losses.

“The management members are very good and they are behind me. We move and do things together. I wish to extend my contract if they give me an offer,” Hayford told Goal.

“I don’t think there would be any problem with contract renewal. The board is fantastic,” He added.

The former Kotoko coach signed a two-year deal with the Miners after leaving Tarkwa-based side Medeama SC.

He is chasing his second domestic diadem with the Aboakese lads after winning it with Kotoko in 2008.

AshantiGold will play Heart of Lions in match day 22 of the First Capital Plus Premier League on Sunday.
