Godfred Donsah is the overwhelming favourite to replace Ghanaian compatriot Alfred Duncan at Sampdoria, according to reports in Italy.
Reports emerged last week in Italy that Bologna have tabled an offer in the region of 5.5 million euros to lure Ghana youngster Alfred Duncan to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
The defensive midfielder is aware of Bologna’s interest and would be keen to explore joining and working under coach Delio Rossi.
And now according to Skysports Italia, Sampdoria has targeted Ghana U-20 and Cagliari youth star Donsah as the ideal midfielder to replace Duncan.
Cagliari were relegated to Serie B and clubs hope they are susceptible to offers for Donsah, who is also on Juventus’ radar.
18 year old Donsah, who can also play at right-back, has been dubbed the new Michael Essien.
