Help Foundation Launches National SHS Anti Drug And Alcohol Campaign

Health Education and life protection (HELP) foundation an NGO located in the central region of Ghana as part of its community outreach programme has launched a project dubbed “NATIONAL SHS ANTI-DRUGALCOHOL CAMPAIGN”. The programme is expected to cover all senior high schools in the 10 regions of Ghana.

In an interview, the FounderExecutive Director of the foundation Mr. Onipanua Hukporty Derrick explained that the main aim of this project is to educate students and tutors at the senior high school level on the effect of drugs and alcohol abuse and also to equip them so as to serve as ambassadors in the education on alcohol and drug use whenever they return into their various communities.

Mr. Onipanua is very optimistic that by the time the programme covers all the 10 regions, issues concerning drug and alcohol abuse will decline.He said this during the launch of the programme at Eguafo-Abrem Senior High School in the central region.

He further appealed to other benevolent organizations and individuals for financial and logistics support to help in building healthier lives for a better Ghana.
