Coach Erol Bekir, the newly appointed coach of Bechem United has said he was excited by his new role with the club though it will be his first assignment in Ghana.

Coach Bekir, who is expected to handle the youth development policy of the side, said he was bent on succeeding on his new role because he had the qualities and experience to realise his targets.

The Swedish in an interview with the GNA Sports said “My parents are originally Turkish and they grew up in Macedonia and i am Swedish. So I have many influences running through me.

“I already feel at home in Ghana due to the warm welcome i received from my employers and this is enough motivation for me to deliver.

“As a professional footballer, I played in many countries in Europe and I speak four languages. So wherever I go, I find it very homely. Today we can get excited and relax and even dance but we get down to work immediately to start development.”

The arrival of Bekir is part of an ambitious plan by Bechem United to become the best talent development club in the country.

He is expected to lead a planned trip to Turkey with the youth side of Bechem United for a training tour which will last for 15 days.

Whilst in Turkey, the team will engage in a number of friendliness to provide the players international exposure.
