MTN, a leading mobile telecommunication service provider, has extended benevolence to the National Chief Imam towards the celebration of the 2015 Eid’ul Fitr festival.
The items which includes a cash donation of GHc2000, 1 ram, 10 bags of rice, 4 gallons of vegetable oil, 30 crates of minerals, 14 crate of mineral water, 4 pack of fruit juice and GHc500 worth of airtime valued at GHc10,000.
Abubakar Mohammed, General Manager Distributive Trade, MTN, said the donation is their humble support towards the celebration of this year’s Eidul Fitr.
According to him, MTN has been championing this course for the past eight years especially during the month-long fast of Ramadan to commemorate the Eidul Fitr celebration otherwise known as ‘festival of the breaking of fast’.
He added that MTN has taken steps to schedule an MTN Fadama Community Forum this month to engage the residence to ask questions on their products and services and get instant response.
Mr. Mohammed calls on all would-be pilgrims to Mecca to watch out for the MTN annual promotional packages which shall roll out during this year’s hajj.
He assured that MTN shall provide seamless telecommunication services on their network and fast internet services including services like MTN Mobile Money transfer during the celebration.
Speaking on behalf of his eminent the National Chief Imam, Dr. Sheikh Usmanu Nuhu Sharabutu, is the member of the advisory board to the Chief Imam, Sheikh Yunusah Osman Mohammed, urged MTN to extend the MTN Community Forum to other Muslim communities in the country to give others the equal opportunity to ask questions.
According to him, the Chief Imam has expressed his profound gratitude to the entire MTN crew for supporting the good deeds.
