Asante Kotoko have confirmed talks to have striker Ben Acheampong return to the club.
The 24-year-old is currently unattached following the cancelation of his contract with Angolan club Petro Atletico.
The Porcupine Warriors have launched talks to return the hard working striker back to Kumasi but says a lot of work is being done behind the scenes to ensure the signing doesn’t go wrong.
“Ben Acheampong, yet we’ve spoken to him but nothing has been concluded,” Kotoko Operations Manager George Kennedy has disclosed.
“We need to do our due diligence with such players who are returning from abroad to make sure there are no issues.
“He wants to return to Kotoko and therefore it is up to us to do our due diligence before we sign him.”
