The traditional pre-season clean up/sanitation exercise organised by the Ghana Beach Soccer Association in partnership with the Ghana Volunteers Brigade will now takes place on Monday July 20, 2015.

The exercise which was originally scheduled for Saturday July 18, had to be moved due to the celebration of the Eid on Saturday after a month of fasting by Moslems.

This year, the La township including the numerous youth clubs and associations will be heavily involved as part of the wider national sanitation campaign.

Since the commencement of the Ghana Beach Soccer League in 2011, the Ghana Beach Soccer Association has consistently followed a policy of environmental and sanitation awareness.

Greater Accra is represented by Layoca Bsc, Teshie United Bsc, Dasoman Bsc, Gulf Powers Bsc, Nungua Bsc , Wuo Gbee, Sea Lions Bsc, Nima Bsc, Tema United and African Angels. The rest are Ada assurance and Winneba Giants.

Monday’s exercise will also be supported by new partners like the Ghana Coastal Communities Project, Laboma and the La Dade Kotopon Municipal Assembly.

The 16 team Beach Soccer league will kick off on Saturday 25th July 2015 at the Laboma Beach Soccer Arena. The venue is currently undergoing rehabilitation courtesy the sponsorship of Coca Cola.
