GFA elections to be held in Tamale on August 17

The Executive Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has approved August 17, 2015 as the date for the federation’s presidential election.

The venue for the election was also confirmed for Tamale.

This comes after the Elections Committee of the GFA sent its proposal for approval during Wednesday’s meeting of the Executive Committee.

The Executive Committee also agreed on dates for the election of representatives of the Premier, Division One, RFA’S and the constituent bodies.

The road map to the 2015 GFA Elections begins from July 13 when nominations for the election of the president will be officially opened.

Election of Representatives from the Constituent bodies (SESSA, Schools & Colleges, Tertiary Institutions, Coaches, Referees, Women Football, Juvenile Football and Players will also be held on 28th September.

The nomination forms for the various positions shall be available at the GFA Secretariat and all Regional Football Association Secretariats.

So far, only one lady Ramatu has indicated her intention of running with the sitting Pres

The entire elections process is expected to end on 10 November, 15.
