Stolen Tape Sold To Owner

AN 18-YEAR-OLD suspected robber has been arrested when he attempted to sell a stolen car tape to its owner in Kumasi.

Christian Adu Yeboah, aka Klinsman, was about to take his money when the alarm was blown.

He was grabbed by the police to face the law.
Christian is currently in the grip of the Ashanti Regional Police Command, assisting officers in their investigation.

The police are also leaving no stone unturned in their resolve to arrest his two accomplices, who are currently at large, to face the law.

Supt Rev Adane Ameyaw, the Manhyia District Police Commander, made this known during a press conference in Kumasi on Tuesday.

According to him, the complainant was in his car at Ash Town when Christian and his accomplices attacked him with offensive weapons.

He disclosed that the suspected hoodlums managed to take away the car tape and an amount of money belonging to the victim and fled.

Supt Rev Ameyaw said the robbery incident occurred on June 15, 2015, but the robbers managed to escape arrest for a while.

At a later date, he said Christian unknowingly offered the stolen car tape for sale to its original owner whom they robbed some days earlier.

The complainant then feigned interest to buy the car tape at an undisclosed fee, thereby enabling him to corner the young robber.

The police capo said the case was reported to the police who apprehended the suspect as attempt is being made to arrest his accomplices.
