2016 Elections Won’t Be Easy – Akufo-Addo

Nana Akufo-Addo
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Nana Akufo-Addo has warned supporters of the party that winning next year’s general elections would not be easy.

According to him, the Elephant family must remain firm and vigilant and work hard to win the elections.

Nana Addo accused the Mahama-led government of incompetence, adding it has failed Ghanaians and does not deserve to stay in power.

‘We have to keep our eye on the big picture,’ the three-time presidential candidate of the main opposition party said when the La Dadekotopon parliamentary candidate Vincent Sowah Odotei called on him.

‘The big picture is 2016; how we will win power for Ghana and not for ourselves. People are there today and can’t do the work of our country, but because there are some benefits of power they are determined to stay there… Ghanaians are looking at us to make the push that will give them a decent government.

‘We can do it. But first of all we need to come together and recognise that we are going to work very hard. There is no way these people are going to hand the victory to us on a silver platter. We are going to work hard at it. We all saw what happened in Talensi… if we are strong together and work our polling station organisation well the people of Ghana are supporting us,’ Nana Addo said.
