ROSA President Advises Parents To Invest In The Education Of Their Wards


The President of the St. Roses Senior High School Old Students Association has advice parents to take active interest in the education of their children to enable them grow to become useful citizens.

She said education was a key to national development, and that for children to achieve education excellence there was the need for parents to support their wards at all times.

Mrs Grace Brew made the call at a fun games organized by members of the Rosa in Accra on republic day at the Mary mother of Good counsel school grounds at the west airport in Accra.

The games which form part of activities marking the 50th anniversary celebration of the school started at around 9am to evening 6pm with parents and pupils participating in games like water games, bazaar , face painting, train rides, carousel, soccer, video games and football.

Mrs Brew said this year’s patronage has seen a higher improvement as compared to previous years.

There were prizes for participating schools and junior high school students present.

Mrs Brew said, Rosa had been able to refurbish the old pavilion and provided the school with 78 seated capacity computer laboratory and also a two bedroom staff bungalow .

She said the association will continue to contribute meaningfully towards the development needs of the school.

She also hinted that plans were afoot for the association to provide the school with an overhead water tank and also erect a fence wall for the school.
