Ghana duo Prosper Kassim and Sabah Lawson have finally joined Swedish top tier side, IFK Gothenburg.

Gothenburg who begin their Europa League campaign on July 15 announced sealing deals with Ghana Premier League side, Inter Allies, for the 18-year-olds in December last year but their scheduled arrival was delayed by the Ghanaian club.

The duo finally joined their new club this week and winger Kassim who recently featured for Ghana at the Fifa Under-20 World Cup has spoken about his aspirations at his new home.

“I am looking at working hard and improving my game,” he said after his first training with new teammates.

“I have arrived and the important thing is to be able to bond and fit into the team as soon as possible.

“I have been told that with determination and hard work I will be able to do well.”

Kassim and his compatriot Sabah [who thrives most in central midfield] are now contracted to Gothenburg for the next five years.

They are expected to be included in the roster for the ongoing Swedish Allsvenskan when the second transfer window opens from July 12.
