The retired bishop of the South African Anglican Church, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his wife Leah have renewed their marriage vows, 60 years after they got married.
The ceremony was officiated by the couple’s daughter, Reverend Mpho Tutu, at a cathedral in Cape Town.
When she asked her mother if she would take Mr Tutu for better or for worse, Leah Tutu joked that she would stay with her husband for better and for better.
The Tutus got married in 1955, a week after the signing of the Freedom Charter.
