The items they donated include 50 bundles of iron sheets, 50 boxes of nails, and 10 gallons of cooking oil.

The donations were made at the forecourt of the Yilo Municipal Assembly on Monday morning, and in attendance was the Eastern regional NADMO Coordinator, Ransford Boakye.
The Association sees the gesture of the MP and the Municipal assembly as a good one and praiseworthy.
On Saturday the 20th of June, a five-hour heavy down pour of rain and severe windblows destroyed over 22 houses and shops in Gbekormanya, Okperpiem and Plau, surburbs of Somanya. Consequently, a number of residents in the aforementioned areas were displaced and many of their valuables and household items were also destroyed.
This has made the association to appeal for support from government, NGOs, and philanthropists for these displaced victims.
The Director of Operations for Kloma Hengme and a spokesperson for the association; Francis Nakotey, said ” The donations made by the MP and the Municipal Assembly is a big relief to us as Krobo youth. As an Association we give them thumbs up and we hope they will continue to respond like that to the needs of our Krobo people”.
“We are making further appeals to the government, NGOs, philanthropic individuals and the general public to come to the aid of these rainfall disaster victims since their situation is very pathetic”, he added.
