Broadcaster, Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) has brought together some of the nation’s most celebrated singers and rappers to record a tribute song for the World Pop Icon, Michael Jackson, six years after his death.

Jackson died in his bed at his Los Angeles home from cardiac arrest triggered by acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication, on June 25, 2009. He was 50.

His death was ruled homicide by the Los Angeles County Coroner and his personal physician Conrad Murray was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter.

Together with Okyeame Kwame, Ramzy of ‘Stars of the Future’ fame, Pappi of 55, Wutah, Jane G from Gabon, Trigmatic among others, KOD has produced a touching tune celebrating the life of the King of Pop.

KOD revealed to Naa Ashokor on The Zone on Starr 103.5FM that the song was recorded right after the Pop star died in 2009 but was never released.
