Arsenal and Manchester City are monitoring developments over Augsburg left back Baba Rahman.

Chelsea remain the frontrunners to sign the 20-year-old with Augsburg holding out for £15million.

City anticipate offers arriving for Aleksandar Kolarov and see Rahman as an alternative. They have also considered Tottenham’s Danny Rose.

Augsburg general manager Stefan Reuter has said the club hasn’t received any ‘concrete’ bids for Baba.

Reuter said: ‘There is nothing concrete on our table with regard to Abdul Rahman Baba. We are very happy to have him at our club, we are delighted he is playing for our club.

We have been happy to hear him saying he feels great being with us.’ Chelsea have discussed a £10.7m offer but know Augsburg want more.

Baba, who joined from Greuther Furth in 2014, made 31 appearances last season as Augsburg finished sixth in the Bundesliga to qualify for the Europa League.
