Chelsea are closing in on Augsburg defender Abdul Rahman Baba after making an offer for his services, according to reports.
The Blues have apparently been holding negotiations with Rahman’s agent in recent days over a transfer.
And amid talk that Real Madrid are looking to swoop for his signature, the Daily Star says Chelsea have now made an offer and are looking to do business.
It’s believed Jose Mourinho wants Rahman to become first-choice left-back, allowing Cesar Azpilicueta to return to right-back and freeing up Branislav Ivanovic to play centre back.
Chelsea’s offer is thought to be worth £10m but Augsburg are believed to want a fee closer to £15m.
