‘Dumsor’ the least of our problems – Nana Konadu

Koforidua (E/R), June 21, GNA – The Founder and Leader of National Democratic Party (NDP), Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has described the current energy crises as the smallest of the country’s problems.

She said there are fundamental problems confronting the country which needs to be dealt with to facilitate development.

She said, the country need to set a clear code on morality, transparency, probity and accountability for its leaders to champion the well being of the people.

Mrs Rawlings was speaking at the NDP Community Organisation Bureau Network of Ghana forum on the theme: ‘Inseparability of leadership and the people, a necessary condition for national well being,’in Koforidua.

She said.
Mrs Rawlings said the goal to create Community Organisation Bureau (COB’s) in all polling station is to create the leadership tool to operationalise all the means of decentralised and participatory democracy.

She said the COB’s would serve as adequate forum for national discourse to tap into the potentials of the people in areas of agriculture, education, health and entrepreneurship.

Mr Owusu Bempah, Director of Communication of NDP said, the forum seeks to educate the people on their civic rights and responsibilities and for them to understand the governance system to make the right decision in Elections 2016.

He said, through the forum and other activities, the people would come to a realisation that, the NDP is the best alternative to champion good governance in the country.
