Speaker of Parliament Edward Doe-Adjaho says the state must honor its heroes when they are alive.
According to him, people who have fought for the country in their line of duty deserve proper honour when they are alive.
Doe-Adjaho made the call when Ghana’s Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah paid a courtesy call to invite the leadership of Parliament ahead of his testimonial game scheduled for 27th of June at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Stephen Appiah noted that his call on the leadership of the House was because parliament plays a critical role in the governance systems.
Stephen Appiah added that the testimonial game is aimed at showing appreciation to the good people of Ghana for supporting his career.
