Hearts of Oak will play as host to Inter Allies on match day 19 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier league at the Accra sports stadium on Sunday, 21st June, 2015.
The Phobians six games unbeaten run in the ongoing league was brought to an abrupt end last Wednesday when Wa Allstars posted a convincing 2-0 win over Hearts in Wa while Inter Allies stretched their winless streak to six games after they were held to a 1-1 draw game at the Tema sports stadium by league leaders Ashgold.
In the first round, Inter Allies left it late to snatch the 3 points from Hearts of Oak after Goeckel Ahottor thunderbolt strike decided the fate of the Phobians at the Tema sports stadium. The win gave Allies their first ever win over the Phobians in the club’s history.
Both sides performance in the ongoing league is a true reflection of their respective position on the log sheet, Hearts of Oak at the 10th position with 24 points and Inter Allies 12th position with 22 points.
A win for the Phobians will see them move to 4th depending on the other results and according to Hearts of Oak youngster, Isaac Mensah they have no excuse than to beat Inter Allies.
“We lost the first leg game to them [Inter Allies] in Tema, this time we are playing at home and we have no excuse than to win the game because the 10th position is not suitable for a club like Hearts of Oak so the fans should expect a win on Sunday,” he told Allsports.com.gh.
Inter Allies going into the game as underdogs but deputy captain for the Tema based side admitted that the Phobians will be tough playing at their favourite Accra sports stadium..
“Hearts of Oak is a big team and beating them at their home ground will be very difficult but who knows football is full of surprises and with the right approach and determination we can shock them,” he opined to Allsports.com.gh.
