Olele: Richard Kingston calls for calm in Great Olympics

Veteran shot stopper, Richard Kingson has called for patience among the rank and file of irate Great Olympics supporters after losing twice in a role in the ongoing First Capital Plus Bank Premier League.

The supporters of the ‘wonder club’ prior and aftermath of their midweek game against Asante Kotoko which they lost 3-2 at the Accra sports stadium protested heavily against the General Manager of the club Oloboe Commodore whom they believe is not helping the course of their great club.

After the game, some irate supporters of Great Olympic numbered close to twenty nearly destroyed the car of Oloboe Commodore as they demanded his resignation.

But Richard Kingson who was not part of the team that lost 3-2 at home to Kotoko due to malaria in addressing the irate supporters of the club called for patience as he promised the fans, the playing body will do everything possible to put smiles back on their faces.

‘I understand your pain because losing two important games within the space of 4 days is very painful but all I have to say is for you [supporters] to calm down, trying to destroy property will not help.

‘The playing body and the technical team will do everything possible to put smiles on your faces, Great Olympics is a club that we are all serving and what we need from you the fans is unconditional support,’ ย Said Richard Kingson.

He added – ‘Let us all come together and fight for a common goal which is helping the team to survive in the league because there are 12 games more to be played and I strongly believe with your support we can make it’.

Great Olympics is currently at the 15th position on the log sheet with 19 points in 18 games.
