Wa Allstars winger, Joshua Otoo says their 2-0 convincing win over the Phobians in Wa on Wednesday was a sweet revenge.
The Phobians won the first round game in Accra by a solitary goal but in the reverse fixture in Wa, the home team un over the Accra based club to beat them 2-0 with goals from Abdul Ganiyu and Emmanuel Ocran.
The win ensured Wa Allstars dominance over the Phobians as they nearly replicate last season’s 3-0 score line against Hearts of Oak.
According to the Wa based club deputy captain, Joshua Otoo their 2-0 win over the Phobians was a sweet revenge.
‘It was a great feeling to beat Hearts of Oak again after beating them 3-0 last season, for the team the win was a sweet revenge because we lost the first round game 1-0 in Accra which pains us a lot,’ Joshua Otoo exclusively told Allsports.com.gh .
‘Prior to the game we know we are going to beat Hearts of Oak because in the game itself we dominated them even our goalkeeper[Richard Ofori] was virtually on holiday, we created a lot of chances that we should have scored more but our attackers were a little bit sluggish,’ he concluded.
Wa Allstars after their win over Hearts of Oak have moved up on the log sheet to the 3rd position with 27 points in 18 games.
