Abysmal performance: Kotoko defeat was due to indiscipline – Godwin Attram

Accra Great Olympics captain, Godwin Attram says their 3-2 home loss to Asante Kotoko was due to certain players’ indiscipline on the field of play.

The ‘Wonder club’ in the game gave away three easy goals which the Porcupine warriors took full advantage of their sluggish play to punish the home side at the Accra sports stadium on match day 18 of the First Capital Plus Bank Premier League on Wednesday.

Great Olympics irrespective of their sluggish play gave the reigning premier league champions hectic time as the Kumasi based club struggled before edging past the ‘Dade Boys’ in a five goal thriller in Accra.

The captain of the side, Godwin Attram who was an unused substitute due to injury said their 3-2 loss to Kotoko was due to certain players’ indiscipline but he commended the fighting spirit of his teammates.

‘We lost to Kotoko because of players indiscipline on the field of play, if the coach gives a player specific instruction and the player get onto the pitch to do something different it will go  against the team and that cost us in losing the game but I must commend the fighting spirit of the boys, irrespective of their mistakes they gave their all,’ Attram said at the post-match interview.
