Way out? Jordan Opoku seeks Kotoko exit

Asante Kotoko midfielder Jordan Opoku has reportedly cast doubt on his future at the club by looking for an out in Kumasi.

The 31-year-old left the Porcupine Warriors to join Berekum Chelsea in an acrimonious move four seasons ago but returned to the Oseikrom club in August 2013.

But the midfielder’s obsession to play outside Ghana could result in him leaving coach David Duncan’s side.

A close source told Allsports.com.gh: “Jordan Opoku is seeking Kotoko exit because he hopes to sign an contract abroad. He didn’t return to kUmasi after the match in Kpando [against Heart of Lions last week Wednesday].”

“He [Jordan] went straight to Accra to prepare his documents and he was not part for the Edubiase game. He is unlikely to be part of the Olympics and Liberty matches next week.”

Opoku’s contract with Kotoko expires in in 2016.
