Rev. Jonathan Yiddi Now Regional Superintendent

Rev. Jonathan Yiddi, on Saturday the 13th of June ,2015 was officially Inducted by Rev Dr. Paul Yaw Frimpong Mansu, General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Ghana. The overwhelming Induction Service was held at Faith Assemblies of God Church at Walewale in the Northern Region.

Following the large membership of the Assemblies of God churches in the entire Northern region, the Leadership of the church in Accra divided the Northern region into A, B and C where three different superintendents will oversee to their respective regions.

Please below is the full profile of the New Regional Superintendent.

Rev. Jonathan Yiddi is the first of four children born to Nasirana James Yiddi and Mrs. Esther Yidanma Wuni of Nalerigu in the East Mamprusi District.

Rev. Yiddi had his Primary and middle education at L/A Primary and Continuation schools at Nalerigu respectively. In 1978 he sat for the common entrance examination and passed and was subsequently admitted at Nalerigu Secondary School and completed in 1983 with an O”Level certificate .

He got repented and was baptized in water in 1978 by Rev J.A. Alo (now retired). While in Nalerigu church he served as the children’s Sundays’ school teacher and the Youth President. Rev. Yiddi received the call of God into full time ministry and was trained at the then Northern Ghana Bible School (now the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary Campus.) He graduated in 1986. While in the Bible school he worked in the Library for two years. He also received two scholarships. During their graduation he was chosen as the class speaker.

While pasturing in the then walewale section, he was made the sectional secretary and Sunday school representative from 1988 -1992. In January 1993, he took a transfer to the upper east region. In 1994 he became the Evangelism Director until 1997 when he was voted as Binaba District Pastor. In 1999 he was again voted as the Regional Treasurer until 2002. Also in 2004, he served as Bawku District Pastor until 2008 when he went back to the Northern region due to the Bawku conflicts.

Rev Jonathan Yiddi met his lovely Wife Rev Dorcas at the bible school for the first time, but they finally got married in January 1989. They are both seasoned and credible ministers of God who have passions for souls and have dedicated themselves to full time ministry.

Rev. Yiddi and his Wife Dorcas Yiddi are blessed with four children, with Ebenezer Yiddi a graduate from the University being the first born, Kezia Yiddi a student Nurse at the Nursing Training School at Nalerigu second born , Edith Yiddi a finally Student from a Senior High School, while Jedida Yiddi is in the primary School.

Rev. Jonathan Yiddi is currently the head Pastor of Calvary Charismatic Assemblies of God in Bunkpurugu of the Northern Region while his wife Rev. Dorcas Yiddi being the Associates Pastor.

The Occasion saw the presents of several clergy including Rev. Dr Paul Yaw Frimpong Mansu who is the general Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Ghana, Rev Jacob Duut host and Pastor of Faith Assemblies Walewale, Rev. Joseph Jingong of Nabauk A/G. Rev Andrew Yambil of Central A/G Bunkpurugu. Rev Thomas Lambon who is the Regional Secretary of Region C as well Pastor of Assemblies of God Nakpanduri. Rev Baba Alhassan -Treasurer of Region C. Rev Jadaan of Pagnatiik A/G. Rev Elijah Garisheba who is the District Pastor of Walewale.

Rev Stephen Yiddi. And Rev. Francis Nyarko of End Times A/G Adenta-Accra, the Dignitaries were the Hon DCE for West Mamprusi District Hon David, Hon DCE for Bunkpurugu –Yunyoo Hon Timothy Laari was represented by an Office Staff and Naa Solo-Mba Nayiri-dana Chief of walewale was present.

Members of all the newly created Region C churches poured out in their numbers to witness the occasion, Voice of Victory singers of the Calvary Charismatic Assemblies of God from Bunkpurugu sang two powerful songs to pave way for the official Induction of Rev. Jonathan Yiddi as the Regional Superintendent for Region C.

Rev. Yiddi after his Induction called on both the National, Regional and the entire membership to support him especially in prayer for the work of God comes with some unique challenges. I pledge his commitment to his new Post and assured to working in accordance with will of God.
