Everton emerge new suitors for Ghana striker Jordan Ayew- report

Everton are looking to add another attacking threat to their side, and a report in the Liverpool Echo claims that Jordan Ayew has been targeted for the summer transfer window.

Younger brother of Swansea new-boy Andre Ayew – both sons of African legend Abedi Pele – he has been touted for a move to the Premier League with the Merseyside club interested in his services.

The 23-year-old currently plays for FC Lorient in France, with whom he netted 13 goals and registered seven assists in 33 games during the 2014/15 campaign.

He is known as an exciting striker, and he has shown undoubted potential, as well as impressing enough to establish himself in the Ghanaian national team.

Ayew was linked with a switch to the Premier League last summer, with West Brom watching him prior to the 2014 World Cup.

Then with Marseille – the same club Andre played for – the Birmingham Mail linked him with a switch to the Hawthorns, although he preferred the move to Lorient to stay in France.

However, the latest reports indicate that he wants to secure a move to England, and Roberto Martinez may give the youngster the chance to impress in the Premier League.

There are no indications as to a price that the Toffees will have to pay to secure Ayew’s services, but considering he is a highly rated international star, they may to have part with a large fee if they are to open contract negotiations with him.
