He was given a citation as part of warm ups to the very first category of the SAE (communications, entertainment and arts category).
SAE organisers explained that Mr Atakora Opoku Manu Jnr has for the past 35 years advocated for the rights of persons living with disability and raised funds to make them live better and happier lives.
He has also helped several persons to become successful professionals in the fields of law, media and entrepreneurship. He is a founding member of the Ghana Society of Physically Disabled and one of the founders of Children with Disabilities outreach project.

The SAE team surprised him at his residence (B Line) in Kumasi when the team presented him with the citation of honour.
