Airtel Support Flood Victims

Airtel Ghana, one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, has given millions affected by the June 3 floods and fire disaster the opportunity to communicate with their loved ones and friends for free through a unique offer dubbed ‘Airtel Too Much Relief Pack.’

The special ‘Airtel Too Much Relief Pack,’ which is a free of charge one day offer for Airtel subscribers, was designed to assist all Ghanaians to connect with their families and friends.

Airtel customers must dial the short code *202# and select the Airtel Too Much Relief Pack option.

Lucy Quist, Managing Director of Airtel Ghana said, ‘We noted with concern and sadness, the suffering and destruction that has been caused by floods that hit the country and city of Accra especially.

Lives have been lost, businesses destroyed and property washed away, there is no doubt communication links are essential at such a time to ensure effective and coordinated efforts for individuals, who are making frantic efforts to stay connected with their family members and loved ones, she said.

‘This is why we at Airtel Ghana believe it is part of our corporate social responsibility to assist our nation and our customers at this time through this unique offer called Airtel Too Much Relief Pack,’ she said.

Ms Quist also revealed that Airtel Ghana will also intensify its relief efforts through the internal employee CSR initiatives, which will focus primarily on assisting the victims.

Airtel will continue to ensure reliable network and communication services to its cherished customers, she indicated.

‘Airtel Ghana is an organization that addresses societal problems with creativity, innovation, partnerships and a relentless drive for change. Airtel is always driven by the communities it serves. Our mission is underscored by the conviction that communities guide their own successful transformation,’ she stressed.
