Accra, June 13, GNA – Togolese import Foovi Aguidi’s strike earned Hearts a 1-0 win over Great Olympics in the 17th week Premier League match at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday.
With both sides struggling in the 17-week-old premiership, a win was what was needed to enhance their respective positions on the log.
Aguidi, who distinguished himself throughout the game pounced on a cross perfectly delivered by Maxwell Boakye to put the ball into the corner of goal-post with veteran Richard Olele Kingson having no answer.
Hearts hanged onto the lead till the close of the game though Olympics made several efforts at equalising but failed.
Olympics have now slumped to the 15th position on the table with Hearts moving up to the 8th position.
