Voting commences in Hohoe peacefully

Hohoe (V/R), June 13, GNA – Voting has begun at the Saint Teresa’s College of Education venue for the Hohoe North Constituency to elect a representative of New Patriotic Party (NPP) without a technical glitch.

According to Mr Kwabena Karikari, Hohoe Director of Electoral Commission, a total of 637 delegates are expected to exercise their franchise in a competition involving five contestants including a female, Emefa Adibo, who was the party’s candidate in the 2012 parliamentary election.

They rest are, Mr Teddy Ofori, Educationist; Mr Michael Osino, Engineer; Mr Michael Clement Dorleku, Magistrate and Mr Malon Anipa, Business Consultant.

Mr David Apuguba Abalor, Hohoe Constituency Chairman of NPP expects that the exercise would pass as one of the party’s family events full of cordiality and fellow-feeling.

Ms Adibo is sure of retaining her position at the close of the polls.
