GCB Bank Ltd has set aside some 300,000 Ghana cedis to support victims of last week’s fire and flood disaster.

The Bank has donated medical supplies and drugs worth 200,000 cedis to the Korle-Bu, Ridge, 37 Military and Police Hospitals to help cater to the health of victims.

The additional 100,000 cedis has been used to purchase mattresses, food and other relief items.

“We have given supplies and drugs worth È»50,000 to the Korle-Bu, Ridge, 37 Military and Police Hospitals. We’ve brought in water tankers; we’ve brought in Polytanks and it’s providing water to the community.”

The GCB tower located a few metres away from the GOIL filling station where over 150 lives were lost has meanwhile been closed down for some time.
