The Ogun state government has declared Friday work-free day to mark the 22nd anniversary of the annulled June 12, 1993 presidential election in the state.

The information was contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa in Abeokuta.

Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, who hailed from Ogun state was widely believed to have won the 1993 presidential election which was annulled by the then military government.

The Ogun government, therefore, urged the people of the state to use the opportunity to pray for the repose of the soul of late Abiola and celebrate the anniversary peacefully.
