Dutch-born Ghanaian Elvis Manu returns to European base after brief holidays in Ghana

Striker Elvis Manu has returned to his base in the Netherlands after a brief stay in Ghana on holidays.

The 21-year-old who plays for Feyenoord left Accra on Wednesday night.

Manu met up with Black Stars coach Avram Grant during his time in Ghana.

The powerful forward has expressed interest to play for Ghana at senior level having featured in the junior ranks for the Dutch national team.

Manu can however only play for the Black Stars once a nationality switch is completed by the Ghana FA.

The process will be put in full motion once coach Avram Grant confirms his interest in the former Excelsior loanee.

Manu scored seven times in 27 league appearances for Feyenoord in a campaign that was blighted by injuries.
