I told you so! Black Satellites lacked technically discipline – Augustine Arhinful

Former Black Stars player, Austine Arhinful thinks some of the tactical decisions of Sellas Tetteh contributed to his team’s loss to Mali on Wednesday in the round of 16 game of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Ghana were outplayed and outscored by their West African counterparts in Wellington, New Zealand to end their campaign.

Three goals from Samassekou Diadie,  Dieudonne Gbakle, Aboubacar Doumbia completed the doom of Coach Sellas Tetteh as he experienced his worst performance in his three appearances in the competition.

Arhinful has indicated that he alerted the technical bench on how quick the team loses possession after their first game, but that situation did not change in the subsequent games and also questioned the decision by Sellas Tetteh to start Benjamin Tetteh from the bench against Mali.

‘I told the technical team after our first game that we easily lose possession and I don’t understand why they kept on repeating that same mistake

‘We gave an uncountable number of faulty balls. They had everything than us corners, ball possession, shot on target, shot on goal. We were totally outplayed and outscored.

‘I was also surprised for not seeing Benjamin Tetteh in the starting line-up, because he is tall enough to match the height of the Malians,’ he told Metro fm.
