Ghana vrs Mali: Aboagye starts but Satellites make three changes


Ghana coach, Sellas Tetteh has made three changes to the starting line-up for the Black Satellites who face Mali in the second round at the U-20 FIFA World Cup despite the inclusion of captain Clifford Aboagye who suffered a knock against Panama.

Emmanuel Boateng who came off the bench to strike the only goal in the final group game to secure victory over Panama has been selected ahead of Dreams FC hitman, Benjamin Tetteh who started all three group games.

Under-performing New Edubiase forwrad, Abraham Asideu Attobrah also loses his starting berth to also Portugal based Osei Barnes.

In place of suspended Patrick Asmah comes Inter Allies defender, Patrick Kpozo who features alongside the ever present Joseph Aidoo, Kingsley Fobi and Emmanuel Ntim.

Godfred Donsah, Samuel Tetteh and Yaw Yeboah all keep their place s as Ghana go insearch of the victory that would set up a quarter final showdown against either Nigeria or Germany on June 14.

Ghana met Mali twice at the Africa qualifying tournament in Senegal in March, the BlacK Satellites losing the group stage encounter 0-1 before claiming a 3-1 victory in the match for third place.
