Mali completely dominated and led Ghana 1-0 at the half-time of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup round of 16 match at the Wellington Regional Stadium in New Zealand on Wednesday.

The Malians took the lead in the 20th minute with a sweet strike from Diadie Samassekou which left the Black Satellites goalkeeper Lawrence Ati with no chance.

Ghana had goalkeeper Ati to thank for his excellent saves which prevented the scoreline to be wider.

The statistics of the match demonstrated how the Malians had completely bossed the Black Satellites who struggled throughout the first half to hold any possession of the ball.

Samassekou latched onto a pass and hit a shot from the edge of the box that found the back of the net to puts the Young Eagles ahead.
