Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, Avram Grant has expressed delight at 20 year old Bernard Mensah’s wonder strike against the Hawks of Togo in an international friendly game on Monday at the Accra sports stadium.
The Black Stars of Ghana beat Togo 1-0 thanks to Bernard Mensah’s 30 yard strike in the 4Oth minute mark which justified the reason for his debut call up and in the game he was the architect of every move initiated by the four time Africa champions.
With Avram Grant watching his new kid on the block exhibiting great skills on the field of play, the Israeli tactician expressed his delight at Bernard Mensah’s wonder strike.
‘I’m happy with Mensah’s performance especially with his goal and he is a very good player’.
‘The match was a good experience for my team and we are satisfied with the outcome of match”.â€¨â€¨
“Mensah is one of the players I have been monitoring over the last three months and I can promise you he won’t be the last one”, Grant said at the post match press conference”.
Ghana will open their 2017 Afcon Qualifier against Mauritius on Sunday at the Accra sports stadium.
