Some drivers at the Kumasi Kejetia Terminal have started demonstrating against city authorities for alleged unfairness in the relocation of drivers to the Kumasi Race Course to pave way for the redevelopment of the terminal.
Wearing red bands, the drivers have boycotted work, leaving just a few drivers around.
This has caused some passengers to be stranded.
However, some leaders of the driver unions have disassociated themselves from the demonstration, saying that they were satisfied with the arrangements to relocate them.
There is heavy police presence at the scene.
Initially, the demonstrating drivers wanted to block the entry from the Centre for National Culture end but the police swiftly disallowed that.
